LEED Green Associate Accreditation Exam Prep Seminar
This 8-hour instructor-led class will cover LEED Fundamentals and prepare you for the LEED Green Associate Exam. All topics are geared toward understanding the core concepts of LEED and preparing you to take the exam with confidence. We will prepare you for part one of the new two part LEED AP exam. Students will receive training on the concepts that are fundamental to the LEED Rating System and will learn successful green building strategies. The training series includes an overview of recommended study methods, LEED exam-taking skills and practice questions for the LEED Green Associate exam. Registration fee: $400

Fundamentals of Estimating & Bidding LEED Projects
Topics will include: Basic overview of the new LEED Rating System (v3.0), responsibilities and risks associated with bidding LEED projects, strategies for budgeting LEED projects under CM / Negotiated agreement, Integrated Design & it’s effect on costs, how to calculate Life Cycle Analysis’ and Return on Investment (ROI), Tools for Estimating the hard and soft Costs of LEED, Estimate Format for successful LEED project collaboration, relationship between team’s LEED experience and project success, feasibility and costs associated with LEED points, Roles of the Preconstruction Team, Design Team & Owner/Client on LEED projects. Registration fee: $300
This 4-hour program will review the principles and strategies of bidding and estimating LEED (and Green) projects, and understanding the costs associated with incorporating sustainable design.
Understanding Green Energy: Geothermal, Solar & Wind
This 3-hour course discusses several alternative energy systems currently being installed. Topics include: An overview of LEED and the importance of energy in the design of a sustainable project, Geothermal heating/cooling, and harnessing energy from the earth’s core, heat pumps & equipment, deep wells vs. shallow wells, cost of Geothermal systems. Includes: utilizing Solar Energy to heat our homes/buildings, and provide electricity using photovoltaic panels, equipment for each type of system, calculating building loads to estimate costs associated with installation of PV panels, return on investment (ROI). Review today’s windmills and wind turbines, costs associated with installation of wind-powered systems, anticipated energy production for a given region harnessing the wind, successfully installed systems. Registration fee: $250
